Right now, we know that Alabama has the worst parole granting rate in the country – with 98% of people being denied parole in January 2023. Addressing Alabama's prison crisis means keeping our representatives accountable.
Join Alabamians for Fair Justice at our annual Lobby Day on Tuesday, April 4. People from across the state, including you, can come to the Alabama State House and learn what bills we believe can help address issues of parole and sentencing.

Legislative Session
Alabama's 2023 Legislative Session began on March 7. Since then, we've been advocating for the civil liberties of Alabamians at the State House. Check out our new legislation and advocacy hub to see the bills we are tracking. Here are a few of the bills that we're watching:
